Simmons University offer a range of need-based financial aid options, we also offer competitive merit-based scholarships, which are determined without regard to your financial circumstances. These scholarships range from $2,000 to full tuition and are renewable for up to four years.
Scholarships Awarded as Part of the Admission Process
First-Year Scholarships
First year students are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships when they apply to Simmons. They do not require a separate application and are part of the admission process. They range from $15,000 to $25,000 per year, renewable for four years.
These include the Trustee Scholarship, Presidential Scholarship, Provost Scholarship, Dean’s Scholarship, Director’s Scholarship, and Achievement Scholarship.
Transfer Scholarships
Transfer students are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships when they apply to Simmons. These do not require a separate application and are part of the admission process.The scholarships range from $7,000 to $17,000 per year.
Dorothea Lynde Dix Scholarship
Dix scholars are automatically considered for the Dorothea Lynde Dix Scholarship when they apply to Simmons. They do not require a separate application and are part of the admission process. This scholarship is $3,400 for the first two consecutive semesters of enrollment ($1,700 per semester).
Children and grandchildren of Simmons graduates automatically qualify to receive an Alumnae Scholarship of $2,000 per year, renewable for four years. No separate application is required

The Kotzen Scholarships
The Kotzen Scholarship provides full tuition, room & board, plus an additional $3,000 for academic pursuits such as study abroad, research support, and more. Applications are due December 1st.
The Boston Scholarships
The Boston Scholarship provides full tuition, specifically for students graduating from one of the Boston Public High Schools or charter schools. Applications are due February 1st.
The Fish Scholarship
The Fish Scholarship provides $15,000 per year for student affiliated with one of the youth-serving organizations supported by the Fish Family Foundation. The award is renewable for four years and there is a one time $2,500 awarded for an experience that promotes global citizenship. Applications are due March 1st.
