Overview: This scholarship is designed to provide financial support to the children of Beedi, Cine, Iron Ore, Manganese Ore & Chrome Ore Mines (IOMC), and Limestone & Dolomite Mines (LSDM) workers for pursuing post-matriculation education. The scheme aims to help these students continue their studies and reduce drop-out rates, contributing to their educational and social development.

Financial Assistance For Education To The Wards Of Beedi Post MatricEligibility Criteria:

  1. Worker Background: The applicant must be a child of workers from Beedi, Cine, IOMC, or LSDM sectors.
  2. Course Enrollment: The student must be enrolled in post-matriculation courses such as Class XI and above, including professional courses.
  3. Income Limit: The combined family income should not exceed INR 1,00,000 per annum.
  4. Minimum Attendance: The student must meet the institution's attendance requirements for the previous academic year.

Scholarship Benefits:

  • Class XI and XII: INR 1,140 per annum.
  • Undergraduate/Postgraduate Courses: INR 1,800 per annum.
  • Technical and Professional Courses (Degree level): INR 15,000 per annum.
  • Technical and Professional Courses (Diploma level): INR 7,000 per annum.

Documents Required:

  • Aadhaar Card of the applicant.
  • Income Certificate from a competent authority.
  • Proof of employment of the parent/guardian in Beedi/Cine/IOMC/LSDM sectors.
  • Marksheet/Pass certificate of the last qualifying examination.
  • Bank account details of the applicant.
  • Institutional certificate confirming enrollment.

Application Process:

  2. Applications undergo verification at the institution and district/state levels.
  3. Scholarship funds are transferred directly to the beneficiary's bank account through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
