Financial Assistance for Education to the Wards of Beedi/Cine/IOMC/LSDM Workers – Pre Matric

Overview: The scheme is aimed at providing financial assistance to the children of Beedi, Cine, Iron Ore, Manganese Ore & Chrome Ore Mines (IOMC), and Limestone & Dolomite Mines (LSDM) workers who are enrolled in Pre-Matric education (Class I to X). It supports these children in accessing quality education and reducing the dropout rate.

• Defective Application Verification Deadline: 15-11-2024
• Institute Verification Deadline: 15-11-2024
• DNO/SNO/MNO Verification Deadline: 30-11-2024

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Worker Background: The applicant must be a child of a worker employed in Beedi, Cine, IOMC, or LSDM sectors.
2. Student Status: The student must be enrolled in a pre-matric class from Class I to X.
3. Income Limit: The family income should not exceed INR 1,00,000 annually.
   
4. Minimum Attendance: The student must have at least 60% attendance in the previous academic year.

Scholarship Benefits:

1. Class I to IV: INR 250 per annum.
2. 
   Class V to VIII: INR 940 per annum.
3. Class IX to X: INR 1,140 per annum.

Documents Required:

• Aadhar card of the student.
• Income certificate of the parent/guardian.
• Proof of employment in Beedi/Cine/IOMC/LSDM sectors.
• School/Institution certificate with student details.
• Bank account details of the applicant.

Application Process:

1. Eligible applicants must apply through the National Scholarship Portal.
2. The application will undergo verification at the institute, district, and state levels.
3. Payments will be disbursed directly to the student’s bank account under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.
