Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan scholarship

Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan (Deemed University), New Delhi set up by the Government of India for propagation and promotion of Sanskrit language, invites applications for merit scholarship 2017-18. The regular students studying Sanskrit including Pali and Prakrit in any recognized traditional Sanskrit Pathashala/Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya/Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya and Modern Institution/Secondary/Senior Secondary School/College/University from Purvamadhyama to Acharya and Vidyavaridhi/9th to M.A.

ELIGIBILITY

A candidate must

• Be a regular student during the academic session 2017-18 and pursuing Purva-Madhyama(1st year)/9th standard, Purva-Madhyama(2nd year)/10th standard, Uttar-Madhyama/Prakshastri(1st year)11th standard, Uttar-Madhyama/Prakshastri(2nd year)/12th standard, Shastri/B.A.(1st/2nd/3rd year), Acharya/M.A.(1st/2nd year) or Vidyawaridhi/Ph.D. or equivalent.

• Have passed the previous examination of the respective class with a minimum of 60% marks or equal grade in overall and 60% marks or equal grade in Sanskrit/Plai/Prakrit

• Have opted Sanskrit/Plai/Prakrit in the present class of study for which they have applied for the scholarship.

Note

 Eligibility criteria in terms of minimum percentage of marks for the candidates belonging to the categories     mentioned below shall be as under-

OBC- 55%

SC/ST- 50%

Awards

Up to Rs 1500 p.m and contingency amount of Rs 2000 per year for two years.

Step 3- Register the institution.
Step 4- The institution details will be verified.
Step 5- The institution will be activated.
Step 6- Apply for the scholarship by clicking here.

Note

• Starting and closing dates of online registration are July 27, 2017, and September 11, 2017, for institutions.

• Starting and closing dates of online application are July 30, 2017, and September 20, 2017, for students.

• All educational institutions should be registered with the Sansthan and without registration, the institution name will not be displayed in scholarship forms.

•  The name of the activated institutions will appear in the drop-down menu of the students’ Scholarship Online Application.

Documents Required

The following scanned documents need to be uploaded in the appropriate place while submitting the application

• The relevant mark-sheet.
• The bank pass-book details where the applicant has an account in his/her name (the first page of the passbook where details along with the photograph are available).
•  Aadhar card of the applicant.
• Caste/Category Certificate of reserved category (S.C/S.T/O.B.C/Divine Body(P.H.) from the appropriate authority in the name of the applicant.

Note- Bank account should be linked with Aadhar number.

Award details

Award amount will be

• Rs.250/- p.m. for 10 months for Class 9th and 10th standard/PurvaMadhyama or equivalent courses with Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit as a paper of at-least 100 marks.

• Rs.300/- p.m. for 10 months for Class 11th and 12th standard/Prak Shastri/Uttarmadhyama or equivalent courses with Sanskrit/Pali/ Prakrit as a paper of at-least 100 marks.

• Rs. 400/- p.m. for 10 months for Shastri/Graduation/B.A./B.A.(Hons.) or an equivalent course of three years duration with Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit as a subject of at least 100 marks.

• Rs.500/- p.m. for 10 months for Acharya/M.A. Degree in Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit or equivalent Post-Graduation Degree.

• Rs.1500/- p.m.and Rs.2000/- per year as contingent for two years for Vidyavaridhi/Ph.D. or equivalent in Sanskrit/Pali/Prakrit.
