Ishan Uday Special Scholarship Scheme for NER (North Eastern Region)

Overview: The Ishan Uday Special Scholarship Scheme aims to provide financial assistance to economically disadvantaged students from the North Eastern Region (NER) of India. The scheme is designed to promote higher education and encourage students from NER to pursue undergraduate studies.

Key Dates:

• Application Deadline: 31-10-2024
• Defective Application Verification Deadline: 14-11-2024
• Institute Verification Deadline: 15-11-2024
• DNO/SNO/MNO Verification Deadline: 30-11-2024

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Domicile: The applicant must be a resident of one of the North Eastern states—Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura.
2. Academic Requirement: Must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.
   
   
   
3. Family Income: The annual family income of the applicant should not exceed INR 4.5 lakhs.
4. Institution: The student must be pursuing an undergraduate program in a recognized university or institution in India.

Non-Eligibility:

• Students pursuing courses through open universities.
• Those already availing of any other scholarship.

Scholarship Benefits:

• For General Degree Courses: INR 5,400 per month.
• For Professional Courses (including medical and engineering): INR 7,800 per month.

Application Process:

1. Register Online: Candidates must apply through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
2. Fill Application Form: Provide personal, academic, and income details.
3. Submit Required Documents: Upload documents like domicile certificate, Class 12 marksheet, income certificate, and others.
4. Institute and DNO/SNO Verification: Ensure your application gets verified by your institution and the designated district/state officers.
