The purpose of the Western Power Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship is to support and encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students studying their first year of an Undergraduate in relevant courses listed below. As well as receiving $5000 each semester scholars will be eligible for work placements and other relevant support offered by Western Power. The total value of the scholarship is $30,000 for a 3 year course and $40,000 for a 4 year course.

Eligibility guidelines
In order to be eligible for this scholarship you must:
- be of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent and be able to provide supporting evidence of your indigenous identity;
- be a current first year or second year student;
- be enrolled and remain enrolled in either part-time or full-time study load (part-time will be paid pro rata);
- reside in Western Australia for the duration of the degree;
- have achieved a minimum ATAR of 70 or equivalent notional ATAR;
- agree to consider completion of at least one period of vacation employment at Western Power; and
- be studying an Undergraduate Degree in:
