Walraven Scholarship For Masters Degree Students

Leiden University has introduced Walraven scholarship 2020 for excellent, non-Dutch master's students. Students who have a bachelor's degree in astronomy or physics are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

Candidates who have outstanding academic merit and who need financial support can participate for the scholarship.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To eligible for the scholarship, a candidate must:

Be a student with a non-Dutch nationality.

Have a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in astronomy or physics.

Have outstanding academic merit in previous study results.

Not have any other financial support for their master's study.

Procedure to apply for the scholarship:

Step 1: Student needs to apply through Site link.

Step 2: Then register online as a new user.

Step 3: Pay the application fee, if required.

Step 4: Submit the form.

Last Date: 01-02-2020

The Walraven scholarship is paid as a monthly allowance.

For a full scholarship, the tuition fee for the Astronomy Research master's programme will be reduced to the amount of the home fee and a candidate will receive an allowance of up to Euros 11,000 per year for living costs.

Partial scholarships may also be awarded

If a candidate stops their Astronomy master's studies for whatever reason, the Walraven scholarship payments will be stopped directly.
