The Paulette Carson Scholarship Bachelor of Dance

The Paulette Carson Scholarship was established by the will of Paulette Berthe Carson who died in 2003. Paulette had a love of ballet from childhood and during her life she taught ballet to children of the British royal family and performed at the Moulin Rouge in Paris. She wished to help and inspire young ballet dancers and she established the scholarship in order to provide young classical ballet dancers with the opportunity to fully realise their ambitions and dreams. The full scholarship value is $7,500, and a partial scholarship worth $4,000 is also available.

Eligibility guidelines

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

• have completed the Advance Diploma of Dance (Elite performance) at WAAPA;
• be articulating into the ECU Bachelor of Dance; and
• be enrolled in full time study.

Selection criteria

Selection will be based on your:

financial circumstances; and
end of year practical in Advanced diploma of dance (elite performance).

How to apply

Application is made via the ECU Online Scholarship Application Portal.

Access to the Portal is available between application opening and closing dates.

Applicants will be asked to provide an online Personal Statement (approx. 1 x A4 page) which includes information about their financial and personal circumstances.
