Lesley Lillian Graham Award Bachelor of Education

This award was established by the will of Miss Lesley Lillian Graham to reward outstanding secondary student teachers majoring in English. The donated funds are to be used to assist a student studying towards becoming an English Teacher. The Lesley Lillian Graham Award (Bachelor of Education - Secondary) is open to students enrolled in a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) with a curriculum study major in English Education. The scholarship is valued at $5,000 and paid in two Installments of $2,500; the first following confirmation of acceptance and the second (final) installment to be paid after second semester census date.

Eligibility guidelines

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

be an Australian citizen or an Australian permanent resident;
be able to demonstrate academic merit;
demonstrate your teaching ability; and
be enrolled in a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) with a curriculum study major in English Education.

Selection criteria

Selection is based on  academic merit, teaching ability and a personal statement outlining the  reasons for choosing English Teaching as a career.
